The Scriptures
The bible is the inspired Word of God. We accept it as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21)
The Godhead
Our God is One, but manifested in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19, John 15:26)
Man, His Fall And Redemption
Man is a created being, made in the likeness of God, but through Adam's transgression nd fall, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.
(Romans 5:12, I Peter 1:18-19)
Salvation
The New Birth is necessary for all men, and is received by faith in Jesus Christ through grace, apart from works. (John 3:3-5, Ephesians 2:8) This produces eternal life.
(I John 5:11-12)
Water Baptism
Baptism by immersion in water is a commandment of Jesus Christ for believers only. It shows the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-37, Romans 6:4)
Baptism In The Holy Ghost
This is the promised gift of God to believers, and is received subsequent to the New Birth, and accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues. This is to empower the believer. (Acts 1:4-5, Acts 2:4, Acts 1:8)
Divine Healing
Divine healing is provided for in the atonement to give physical healing to the body. It is to be received through faith, by the laying on of hands, by the anointing with oil, and by the prayer of faith. (Isaiah 53:5, Deuteronomy 7:15, I Peter 2:24, James 5:14-15)
Return of the Lord and Resurrection of the Just
The Lord Jesus Christ shall return, and those who have died trusting in Him shall be resurrected, and believers on earth shall be raptured(caught up to meet the Lord in the air). (Acts 1:9-11, I Thessalonians 4:16-17) |
